Myrtle Beach and Hilton Head are two very popular resort destinations in South Carolina.
Myrtle Beach, a community of about 25,000 residents, is located at the heart of a 60-mile stretch of beach
along South Carolina's northern coast. The Atlantic Ocean and the beautiful white sand beaches are
the main reasons why so many tourists and visitors come to Myrtle Beach each year.

South Carolina, a southeastern state occupies
approximately 31,000 square miles on the Atlantic seaboard and was one of the original
13 states admitted to the Union. The U.S. Census Bureau statistics has estimated the 2006 population
to be 4,321,249. The number of 2005 housing units was approximated to be 1,927,864. Based upon the 2000 census data, the
home ownership rate was calculated at 72.2% as compared to the national average of 66.2% and
the Median value of owner-occupied housing units was estimated to be $94,900.
